One of the great advantages of Fonyód is that you do not have to spend every day within the borders of Fonyód to have a good holiday in Fonyód. From the port you can reach Badacsony by boat, directly by train Kaposvár, by car from Kishegy, Balatonpines, Heviz and several baths. A well-chosen trip does not take you away from your vacation in Balaton, but prevents you from changing the place of the towel on day four.
Choose the target based on weather and company. On a clear day, the Badacsony ship is already an experience because of the journey. For wine, Kishegy of Balatonlelle gives a panorama and several cellars, but you can solve the driver's question in time. Kaposvár offers culture, urban walks, museums and indoor baths and also works by train. The Balatonföld railway is strong with children and railway-friendly adults, and the Berek show a very different landscape than open Lake Balaton.

The Balatonföld railway, a family bath or an amusement park is a more predictable choice.
Kishegy and Badacsony are two different but both strong wine directions; plan without driving.
You can get to Badacsony in the season by boat, by train directly to Kaposvár, and Balatonförves with regular railway connections.
Kaposvár museums and the flower bath, as well as larger covered thermal baths are the more secure directions.
