Shopping is rarely one of the best memories of a holiday, but in Fonyód it can still be a good program - provided you start with the market and do not try to squeeze half of Hungary's needs into a single shopping cart at noon on Saturday. The Fonyód Producers Market is not only a shopping place on Wednesday and Saturday but also a local meeting point: bread, cheese, honey, vegetables, sausages, coffee and conversation in one place.
Bigger shops solve other tasks. The SPAR is central and easy to find, so it is packed at peak times and not necessarily the cheapest. Lidl can be practical for more shopping, and the main street Coop is useful when you're close and some basic things are missing. None of them are tourist attractions, but at 7: 00 P.M., they ran out of water and had a surprisingly fast appreciation with two hungry children.
Buy earlier in the summer, especially before weekends and holidays. To a cool market product, take a cooler and check the apartment supplies after arrival before you turn twice for the same one. In the detailed data sheets, we write down what location is good for and where you pay for the central position rather than the special selection.
