If Lake Balaton is cold, windy or simply uncooperative that day, several very different baths are available from Fonyód. They should not be considered identical under a single "thermal 'label. Chistian is quiet, classic and close; Heviz is a natural specialty; Zalakaros is a great family experience bath; Kehida is a good compromise between the water and the children's program; Igal is further away, a more familiar direction.
The first time you make that decision, tell me who the day is for. To an older company or a quiet morning, Chirst can be seen. With children, a whole day of programs and slides, Zalakaros is safer. Hévíz is good if the natural lake itself is an experience, not a water amusement park. Kehida gets ahead when everyone in the family wants something else, and Igal gets ahead of her when she's on the road.
Travel time, outdoor pools season, maintenance locks and ticket prices change. Always check the official side of the bath before you leave, especially on holiday or winter weekdays. Chist is the easiest detour to Fonyód with a classic thermal atmosphere and a more moderate pace.
Zalakaros gives you the most slides and family attractions with a covered reserve for bad time.
Lake Hévízió is a destination in itself; it is not an aquapark, but a natural crop and quite another world.
The bath is one of the nearest classic thermal targets, but check the current road approach before departure.
It's usually Zalakaros, because besides the termite part, it also gives more experience and slide. Kehida could be a more calm compromise.
