Kehida is a good compromise if someone in the family wants to have water, a different slide, and the third one just needs a nice warm pool. It's not as big and loud as Zalakaros, but it's not even a tiny two-pool thermal bath. It's just big enough for all ages to find a program, but it doesn't necessarily mean the family loses each other by 10: 00 a.m.
The three-storey, Mediterranean-atmosphere indoor bath operates throughout the year. There is a rolling pool, champagne island, neck shower, massage bed, smaller children's pool and a 94-metre long, light and sound effect indoor tube slide. The latter may be used from the age of 10 and at least 120 centimeters in height. It's not Zalakaros-sized slipstream, but it's enough to make sure that the bigger kids don't finish the entire bath in two minutes.
The smaller ones also have a baby shower, a small slide and a dollmama lounge with diapers and toys. In addition, you can swim from the indoor experience pool to the outdoor part, which in winter and cooler times feels especially good. It's cold out there, and you're sitting all over the hot water, and suddenly it doesn't seem like such a bad idea to go to the bathroom in the middle of your vacation in Balaton.
In the summer, of course, the world is much larger. The grass, green beach area also has a wave pool, swimming pools, children's paddle, outdoor experience pool and warm water seating pools. There are more than five hundred sunbeds, and the area is wide enough not to put all towels directly next to each other. The environment is particularly beautiful: the calm, rural atmosphere of the Zalai hills, forests and Kehidakustány indicates that it is less about crowds and more about relaxation.
The spa is separated from the experience, so those seeking peace don't have to avoid children who slide around all day. The sulfur water containing calcium, magnesium and hydrogen carbonate, which erupts at 49 degrees, is cooled to 34-36 degrees in the pelvis. The covered area for adults is also equipped with a neck-shower and weight bath, a circular seat pool, rest beds, a quiet room and a drinking fountain. The children's ticket therefore only gives you the right to use the experience and beach bath: adult people under 14 cannot enter the healing zone.
However, the adult standard already includes an experience bath, a spa and a seasonally functioning beach. The Sauna Oasis requires a special additional ticket; there is Finnish and infrared aura, aromakabin, steam bath, diving pool and Kneipp-trampoline.
In the 2026 summer season, the adult has a full day entrance 6400 and the 6-14-year-old's child ticket is 3200 HUF. The family tickets for two adults and two children are 17280 HUF, and they are free of charge under six years. You can change three-hour tickets, but with children it's easy to find out that Kehidan takes three hours faster than you think in advance. The bathroom is open every day between 9: 00 and 20: 00.
From Fonyód, take a 50 km drive, about 50-60 minutes' drive. Before leaving, you should look at the list of pools that have been opened for a given day on the spa website: operators will also indicate the current state and water temperature as a pool. Some outdoor elements are seasonal, but the indoor experience and spa can be used throughout the year.
Kehida is not necessarily better than Zalakaros, it's just different. Less extreme attraction, but more transparent, more family and typically calmer. If children need a good slide, adults need medicinal water, and the family needs a spa where they can be together, but sometimes everyone can go to their own joys, it's very easy to love.
