Fonyód-Badacsony ship schedule: start planning here
The other side is close, but the way back isn't self-evident. Search both directions for the given travel day at BAHART: first Fonyód → Badacsony, then Badacsony → Fonyód. On this side you will find not a live departure board, but a trip to be used for shipping.

- Check the departure and arrival of the selected day and flight in the official search room. The summer and autumn order may differ.

- This is a passenger ship route. For a car crossing, look for the Tihanyrév ferry; the separate route and schedule.
Tickets, dogs, bikes - four important details
- The schedule ticket is linked to the departure on it; do not automatically count on another flight with take-off.
- Bicycle transport is capacity-dependent. Clear the bike place and the tickets you need.
- The BAHART General Brief provides for a leash and muzzle for dogs. The fee, carrier or individual exception must be checked in advance.
- The weather can change the ship. Leave a reserve between the return and any further travel.

What's the day to get between these two ships?
A good day in the Badacsony is not a good day for you to go everywhere. Choose a major experience and leave room for lunch, watching and sitting around if you can just sit down somewhere. The following are our own design ideas, no guided tours and unguaranteed schedules.
Timely version: port, walk, lunch
When you arrive, don't go straight to the furthest target. First, let's find out where the return ship is going, and then we'll have a comfortable walk and a pre-looked lunch place open that day. This version works well if shipping itself is an important part of the day, and you don't want to check out a performance tour.
I want a break, a drink and a place where it's easy to take the walk short. By baby car, do not choose from a target that looks close to the airline: the hull, rising and stairs count more than a few inches on the map.
Active version: a selected mountain target
If the mountain is the main program, you can choose a specific route at home and see the level rise as well. The driving time in the guide is adjusted to the pace of the company, to the rest and to the condition of the ground. You may not be going any faster on the way back: the slope is not a escalator, and it is especially not after rain.
Let's make it a pre-designated turning time. If you don't reach the scheduled point by then, shorten it, do not attempt to recover the last moments before the ship by running. The landscape will wait; the busy departure is not necessarily necessary.
Autumn plan and version B
First look at the boat in the fall, then the restaurant and tour. Count on the previous darkness, and do not draw up the program from the memory of summer day. If there is no return, the trip will not be a safe plan if Fonyód can be seen well from the other side.
In this case, choose a local program or redesign the whole trip back and forth on land. An uncoordinated water taxi should not be the only escape route. The rainy conductor will give you an alternative even if the boat is out in the morning.
When should I return to the port?

Boat trip to Badacsony
Wine, wine, Provence! Oh, I'm sorry: wine, intoxication, Badacsony.
From Fonyód, Badacsony is an undisputed protagonist of the landscape. It's almost always in front of us, yet it's a different experience to see close. Besides, the road itself is part of the trip: as the beach in Fonyód, Badacsony's typical flat-top block grows larger and you're on the other side in half an hour. Without a car, without a parking lot, with the wind in your face from Balaton-- it's harder to arrive than that.
Everyone in Badacsony can continue at their own level of energy. A walk around the port and a few glasses of wine alone are completely defensible programs. If you want more than that, you can go to the vineyard, you can take Kisfaludy House and Rose Stone on your way, and major entrepreneurs can climb up all the way to the Kisfaludy Lookout. From the top is beautiful at Lake Balaton, but the road in summer heat is not such a light, slipper walk: water, decent shoes and some determination are strongly recommended.
The basalt rocks of the mountain, its vineyards and its old prunes together give us that Batachony atmosphere which is difficult to squeeze into a single photo. The most common is Italian Riesling, Grey Beard or one of the specialities of the wine region, blue tongue. However, the order should be constructed in a reasonable manner: first tour and then wine. The mountain, on the other hand, always seems to be more steep.
Pay special attention to the return journey. The journey of the scheduled ship between Fonyód and Badacsony is about 30 minutes, but the number of flights and the last departure may vary from season to season, even according to the days of the week. The ticket is worth buying in advance, online and the schedule is also checked on departure day. You can sail with a dog, but you will need to have a dog's mark and the current rules of the shipping company; you must have a leash and a muzzle.
If you miss the last scheduled ship, there is also a water taxi and a speedboat between Fonyód and Badacsony. However, don't count on this as a bus going late in the evening: it also depends on space, weather and prior consultation. The safe solution is to clear up when and how you'll get back before the first cup - but no later than the second glass.
It's easy to forget the experience. In Badacsony, time is moving faster, especially when the glass is half full, the sun starts down and Fonyód is on the other side. It's familiar and far away at the same time - just like Badacsony in the morning, just the other way around.
