Svab melodies, beginners and vibrant music of the music of Zolkosenek will fill Fonyód's centre for one hour. The concert of the Vaskút National Bears is an open-air program in Vigadó Square, which can be easily accepted, spectacular and enjoyable for all ages. Participation is free.
Detailed description
There's something soothing old-fashioned about a summer night when a real nozzle band sounds in the middle of town. It does not require a light show, smoke machine or three floors high stage: it is sufficient to turn some well-spoken trumpets, harpoons, clarinet, tuba and drums into concert rooms in just a few moments.
On August 18, the Vaskút National Scouts bring this experience to the Fonyód Vigadó Square. The blowing of the iron well is not a newly invented tourist attraction, but a tradition passed on for generations. The history of the village's nostrils dates back to the 19th century, and the predecessor of the current band community was established in the 1980s.
The iron-well blowers are important representatives of the local German ethnic, Svabian culture. In addition to traditional melodies, their repertoire has expanded over time with other genres and nozzle-sene transcripts, so the concert does not necessarily mean a full hour of identical rhythms. What kind of show they bring to Fonyód is not detailed by the organizers, but according to the Vaskúr band tradition, more solemn pieces, lighter national melodies and audiences-friendly processes can occur.
This is the kind of concert that you can get into without much preparation. You don't need to know the band, and before the show you don't have to give the family a lap dance. It's enough to walk out to Vigado Square, sit down, stop for an hour or just let the music find us.
With kids, it can be a very good program. Seeing the instruments closely and hearing them is a very different experience than watching a recording, and the show is only an hour long: long enough to give a real concert, but not long enough for the smaller ones to lose their patience after the third song. The familiar atmosphere of older people in their traditional nozzle, and younger ones can have an exciting orchestra sound.
Due to the central location of Vigado Square, the concert can be easily inserted at the end of a beach day or before dinner. You don't have to organize a special car expedition, wear fancy clothes or buy tickets. The program is free, the atmosphere is direct, and if it goes well, there's a good chance that people who originally wanted to walk through the square will listen.
The concert of iron cones is not a loud summer event, but real space music: human-scale, friendly and traditional meeting. Sometimes it takes a clock just like this to stop in the constant rush of summer programs.
Fonyód Tip
Get there before 6: 30, pick a place in the square and stay at the center for dinner or evening walks. This is one of the easiest programs to complete in Fonyód: free, centrally located and asking for exactly an hour of your evening.
