The summer in Fonyód does not consist exclusively of beaches, flames and outdoor concerts. On the evening of August 14th, one of the long-running special exhibits of the city, Feng Shui Gallery offers a quieter and more personal cultural program: this is where the exhibition of Anna Pék Eszter opens.
The maker of Székesfehérvár is both a painter, graphic and artistic teacher. Former galleries included oil paintings, watercolors, acrylics and graphics, and the immediate environment of nature, landscape and man often appears in its works. Which works he brings to the exhibition in Fonyód will be answered by the opening itself - and this is much more exciting than looking at it on the Internet.
The evening is not just about the pictures. The exhibition is opened by a poet and journalist Judit Bokros, who received the Penna Regia Prize in 2023 and his poems were published in several literary journals. Sándor Gál Csaba Gál is involved with poems, so the paintings are accompanied by words, thoughts and another artistic perspective. This is not the opening where someone quickly cuts a ribbon, everyone claps and then stands with a glass in their hand: creations and literature can really get into conversation.
One of the nicest parts of the evening is that among the people present, they draw out a work offered by the publisher. So not only with a new art experience, but with some luck, you can come home with an original Pécs Esther Anna. Which is why it's worth arriving on time.
Feng Shui Gallery is a part of Fonyód's cultural history. The private gallery, which has been operating since 1997, is not a distant, vast exhibition hall but a human-scale place where visitors can be closer to the works and usually to the creators themselves. The gallery presents contemporary works of art and art, with graphics, textile works, ceramics and statues in addition to paintings.
The program can be visited free of charge and is absolutely weather-proof. A good choice for those who want a calmer hour before Friday night's busy, but also for those who think that a vacation in Balaton is suitable for a small culture near the beach. And if you continue the evening after the opening, from²0 o'clock, the Gábor Lantos Trió street ball will begin at Vigado Square. In one night you can put this together in Fonyód as well.
