Don't be fooled by the name: this evening will be all but depressing not
On the 8th of August, when it is completely dark over Lake Balaton, heavy guitars will be heard on the stage of RockBalaton. Depression arrives at 22: 30.To make a big, uncompromising concert for the festival on Saturday.
The story of Depression began at the end of 1999, and their first album was already finished in 2000. Since then, the band has become one of the most stable and popular players in the home modern rock and metal scene. More than a quarter of the team will be brought forward by Frontman, Ferenc Halász, with his characteristic voice, guitar game and direct text.
In their music they meet the power of metal, the momentum of modern rock and the kind of melody that makes the chorus scream with the band after the first hearing. Their songs often talk about freedom, perseverance, internal struggles, relationships and how one can stay in a world that is constantly trying to push it in another direction.
M I don't want to break up, the Our revolution, a Shock the system!, a Sometimes, a 1X or You're my drug. not just known songs. It is part of the common history of a whole generation of concerts: numbers that have been born of friendship, long nights began and whose choruses are still sung by thousands of people at once.
The Depression is particularly strong in person. There are no unnecessary circles: accurate, energetic sound, severe riffs, huge refrens and continuous contact with the audience. This is the concert where you can't stand still for long - after a few songs, the whole audience moves together.
After Saturday's previous performances, the Depression will have the night. At the front is a pogo, with hands raised in the back high; there are lines singing together everywhere - and at the same time there is Lake Balaton a few meters from the stage.
If you like modern Hungarian rock, you have to be there. And if you don't know Depression, it would be hard to imagine a better first encounter.
