On the last Sunday of September, again runners take possession of downtown Fonyód and around the Arpád coast. CHAPTER XV On family days, not only regular athletes but all children, adults, families and friends who want to move are welcome.
One of the greatest strengths of this event is that it offers different length routes so that everyone can find a challenge for their own age, preparedness and mood. The youngest participants have 1500 metres of children, while adults and large children with entrepreneurial mood can try themselves at 4000 or 6000 meters.
A shorter, 4000 metres distance may also be a good choice for those who wish to participate in the experience of joint running but are not preparing for longer competition. The 6000-metre route is already a more challenging one: it includes the Arpád-coast runway, which also affects one of Fonyód's most popular outdoor sports sites.
The day starts at 9: 00 a.m. with registration in Vigadó Square. This is followed by a warm-up from 9: 30, so that everyone can move through and stand ready for the start. The participants in the three range will leave at 10: 00, and the announcement of results and the award of fees will be scheduled for 11: 00.
Although there will be awards and awards, Family Running Day is as much about joint movements and experiences gained together as it is about placement. There is no need to be a routine racer: the event can also be a good opportunity for those who would now try themselves on an organized running program or simply spend an active morning outdoors.
It's worth arriving with the whole family or a larger group of friends. The smaller ones can complete the 1500 metres distance, and the others can choose between the two longer routes. So everyone can move at their own pace, and in the end they can be together again.
The organizers recognise each contestant's performance with a special gift: whoever goes through or runs the chosen distance gets a gift treadmill.
